New Year, New Resolutions? Am I Chinese?

Hello everyone,

How has 2013 been treating you?

Are you wondering about my slightly strange title?  I’m think maybe I’m Chinese because I have been experiencing what one might call a “funk” since 2013 began, and it started to lift around a week ago, which if you didn’t know, was Chinese New Year!!!  Coincidence???

So now that we’re into the year of the Snake, my thinking has properly returned to resolutions.   As I mentioned in my previous post, last year I actually managed to achieve my resolutions of inner peace, patience and being productive.  I still remember the moment I realised I felt the difference, it was AMAZING, so I am looking to repeat this in 2013 :)

So what am I working towards this time?

1. To remain Peaceful – I like my drama in dance, film, music etc, not in my life!

2. To be more mindful of my heart – I can get more then caught up in what my head is telling me.  What I should and shouldn’t be doing and/or achieving.

Sometimes all you need to do is listen within and it will lead you right where you need to go.

3. Let my creativity flow through all aspects of my life – in the past I have been guilty of compartmentalising my creative self from my work self, family self and my friendships.  I would like them all to merge more so I have a more cohesive feel to everything.

4. Pay more attention to my health – After my work medical last month I learned that I was dehydrated!!!

It was only by 2%, but it got me thinking… where have I stopped being as healthy as I could?  It being Winter, I’ve naturally been favouring more coffee and tea over water.  I’ve been eating more hot food and not been feeling the fruit and salad as much as I should.  I’ve also been guilty of seeing the dark evenings and rushing home rather then going to my lovely (expensive) gym as much as I did.  I really need to have a little rejig in my health priorities.  I know when I feel better on the inside it affects all areas of my life for the better so it’s kind of a no brainer!

So dear readers, I think 4 resolutions are plenty for me, what about you?  Please let me know what you are working towards, I’d love to hear how you are getting on.

I have decided not to have any New years resolutions this year. I have decided to just let things flow for awhile and try to improve my life in smaller ways on a daily basis. like instead of my usual excersise regimen commitment at this time of year. I am just going to walk a bit more dance and make physical love, little more etc……

Hope the rest of your 2013 is amazing.xx
